The management of Akwa United Football Club has announced Tuesday September 1st 2026, as the resumption date for players and officials ahead of the 2026/27 football season.
The players and officials began their end-of-season break earlier in the year following the conclusion of the 2025/26 campaign and are now expected to return to camp to commence pre-season activities ahead of the new season.
Chairman of the club, Mr. Joseph Eno directed all players and officials to report to the club's camp on or before the resumption date.
The Promise Keepers will compete in the Nigeria National League and shall be aiming to secure promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League at the end of the 2026/27 season.
